WTL 7 man at HSP
Thu, May 14, 2009
The second WTL of 2009 was held at HSP. The LA Hitmen came out to have some fun. Some teams were missing members so the Hitmen lent out team members to other teams who needed help. We even lent players to guys we really don’t know that well. It was a great day. There was some controversy though. Numerous spectators (many who we don’t know) came and told us a certain team was using radio headsets to commuicate with spectators on the sidelines. This was very illegal but very hard to stop being the league allows radio communication while on the field. In the last game one player was caught talking into his mic while dead but the reff didn’t understand that was not allowed until it was contested after the game. But it had to stand as is. Not fair to either team really but it doesn’t matter its paintball! And karma always gets people in the end. So no worries. The team had a great time and made lots of new friends.
Sonny Lopez got to try out his new DM9, Rotor and IR4’s all made by DYE. www.dyeprecision.com His quotes are as follows: “I got my new gear and was impressed with the packaging and attention to detail. The manual was full color and everything was to ASTM standards or above. The rotor comes apart so quick it is amazing and it is by far the most advanced loader out on the market. The DM9 was so freaken fast people actually think I shoot fast now. lol That is just funny. The gun shoots fast!!! Not me. The IR4 goggles are what really blew me away. Everybody knows I have been wearing JT’s since 97 or so.. So to switch to DYE’s is a big deal. The lense and field of vision are just to die for and the fit is really nice. I love how my beard comes out the bottom of the mask and I can’t wait to get my hands on some smoke lenses. I have to thank DYE for raising the bar this year on loaders, masks and guns! WOW I am glad I am rocking them, thats for dam sure.”

I know you will not publish this. But here it goes. The team you are talking about is TEAM GAT. The Hitman are the team to bet. Teams work very hard to compete with the best (LA HITMAN) but don’t bet them or you are called cheaters, you guy couch from the sidelines, bad sportsman ship, you paid the refs and them this, That we used radios to cheat you out of a win. The TWL didn’t see it the same way you did, our they would have disqualified us. Instead gave us the win and said good job. Let’s talk about sports man ship. SONNY we have come out on top two times this year and you never came and said good job instead you accuses us of cheating. The kids on the team look up to the Hitman as being the best. So to come out on top is everything to them. YOU CLAIM ITS ALL FOR THE SPORT as long as you are winning. Do the right thing and take this off your page and stop slandering other teams.
Congrats to Team Gat for 1st place! No doubt. Next time no radios.
I use to look up to Sonny Lopez. Show some class man. You call you self a ambassador of the sport but have clearly have not been showing it. Only when its convenient for you.
Just for the record re: previous post. I meant they should change the rules to have no radios allowed for ANY team.
