1st Place USPL NPPL West Coast Open

The 2009 USPL West Coast event as come and gone and we walked away winners! This was our second USPL Pump event and we won it again. The team was rock solid all day. Except one game against Order of 7 who beat us and it was fun to watch because they always play straight up ball and it is awesome to see them getting better each event. Great job guys!
The Pump division was held on Sunday only and featured some of Southern California’s best pump teams. Our second team LA Hitmen New Life Fitness had a tough day but still had fun in the heat. (Insert - Shade needed at field entrance please) The field setup was awesome and the reffing was ok. It may be that we are all asking to much from all the refs. Be perfectly on time, make little money, make split second decisions on the spot all day long and don’t mess up ever once! Also be able to see behind you and stop time be able to rewind and also have sonic hearing to know if guns are illegal or not. I am sure we can start to pay these guys more to help make it easier on them. It is a tough job and I have done it before and I hate it. So good job to the refs I feel you. The event had some vendors including Monkey With Gun, Guerrilla Air, CP, Heavy D Trading, KM Straps, Draxxus, Stoned Assassins and more…
Valdo our resident snake killer played D2 with the Stoned Assassins and they made had a great time and took same names with them. Maybe we will see more LA Hitmen and Stoned Assassins working together next year. Who knows. The event ended with me having Erik Felix (my old coach) follow me to Tony Perez’s birthday bbq. Now that was a great time!

It was cool to see the pump division held on Center Court for the finals. I think that was the biggest complaint people had about the prior events.
