The WCPPL is a paintball league that offers a high level of paintball competitive play for established airball based teams. This is the first time the LA Hitmen won a WCPPL! To see what the WCPPL is all about check out www.wcppl.com

The squads had great lineups and no dead weight. One team LA Hitmen.com it was Derrick, Mike, Rik, Kurly, Kimo and Lyle. This was Lyle’s first event with the team and he played great! On the LA Hitmen Secret Sauce team it was Jeff, Ernie, Charlie, Ryan, Junni and Jon. Some new faces surprised some teams and when Derrick sat himself others just couldn’t believe what they were seeing. Can’t wait to see how the team plays after this Summer of Drills coming soon. Drills pay off, when it came down to it one on ones decided if the Hitmen got the 1st and 2nd locked up. Ryan pulled off a clean kill to seal the deal!

At the booth the HIC promo girls “Team Lauren” were hard at work giving out free sunscreen and letting everyone know about HIC and the LA Hitmen. The Ronin team came out to support the LA Hitmen led by their team captain Ed Sampilo. Sometimes players can’t tell the difference between the Ronins and the Hitmen! Being both teams primarly use pump guns and tend to have a good time wherever they are at. The combined team effort of the LA Hitmen, Ronins, HIC all led to a great weekend of laughs and good times at the booth. A scavenger hunt was held and prizes were given out regularly. The girls took pictures with hundreds of guys and had a smile each and every time. Some also got a sneak peak at the new LA Hitmen / HIC Stretch board shorts! They are HOT! For those who know who HIC is this comes as no surprise that HIC and the LA Hitmen have teamed up to offer a co-branded line of clothes. We have a little HIC history for those of you living under a rock or to close to snow. It all started for Hawaiian Island Creations back in 1971 in just before the energy crisis. They were in Hawaii making bikes of all things and suddenly the sales began to soar. Their bikes were catching on and customers were looking for more from them with the HIC logos on it. When they started producing clothing things really began to take off. Their T-shirts and board shorts became very popular throughout the Hawaiian Islands. So much so they started seeing demand from outside the state and people from other countries were ordering their products from them. By 1991 Hawaiian Island Creations was a major board short and clothing brand in the surf industry. The creative styles, fun slogans, and commitment to their heritage have continued to push their products.

Pump 3rd place- In the pump division a brand new combination of Hitmen took the field. With Derrick Obatake out with an injury some wondered what combination of players would represent the Hitmen family. The squad was let by Mike Masushige our resident ghost. Kurley, Junny, Ryan and Ernie all took to the field and represented the Hitmen name with pride and honor. By the end the tournament the Hitmen team only lost two games to one team! They won every single other game in the tournament. The way the chips fell they had to settle for a 3rd place. Not bad for a brand new squad working together. Once they get some hard team drills done, this squad will be even better.

D2 4th place - Our Race2 squad once again teamed up with Island Paintball to put on a great show in the D2 division. They competed under the LA Hitmen by Island Paintball name. (Last year it was Mikey and the Hitmen) The team ended up taking 4th place so close to the tops honors they can taste it. In the end they left their mark that they are a force to be dealt with. The team had a great time and cannot wait for the next one.

For many pumpers getting a chance to play against the team is a dream come true. For those who push themselves hard, getting a chance to play for the team is even a larger goal. It was recently announced that we would be expanding our program to include pump players who demonstrate the will to become a part of the Hitmen family, even if they can’t practice with us in So Cal.
